SWISS HOUSE XXXII

Architect: Davide Macullo Sinusoïde, permanent work in situ with artist Daniel Buren.

Swiss house XXXII is a distinctive architectural project in Rossa in the Swiss Alps that blurs the boundary between
architecture and art.
The house is conceived as a permanent, site-specific work of art that functions as both a livable residence and a sculptural
object. It expresses a dialogue between built form and artwork, embracing natural beauty, the context of its valley, and
symbolic meanings rather than just practical housing.

The exterior plays with form and colour: bold striped patterns (a signature of Buren’s art) and curved architectural gestures
reinterpret the archetypal “house” shape. This makes the building appear familiar yet transformed, an imaginative version of
a traditional home.
