PRADA FOUNDATION, MILAN, ITALY
Architect: OMA, Rem Koolhaas
The Fondazione Prada in Milan is a contemporary art center housed in a former early 20th-century
distillery. Opened in 2015, the architecture blends industrial heritage with bold contemporary interventions.
The site features restored historical buildings alongside striking new structures, including the iconic
“Haunted House,” a tower clad in gold leaf that houses permanent installations. The contrast between
old and new, brutalism and elegance, creates a unique space that is both cultural and experimental.
