YVES SAINT LAURENT MUSEUM - MARRAKECH, MOROCCO
Architect: Studio KO
Inaugurated in 2017, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum was designed by French-Moroccan architecture firm Studio KO.
It pays tribute to the iconic fashion designer’s deep bond with Morocco, a country that profoundly influenced his creative
vision.
The architectural language of the building is defined by a composition of geometric volumes and a dynamic interplay
between curves and straight lines. The façade features custom-made terracotta brickwork arranged in patterns reminiscent
of woven textiles, referencing Saint Laurent’s couture legacy.
Built with locally sourced materials such as terracotta, concrete, and stone, the museum is firmly rooted in the Moroccan
landscape and climate.
